Looking over the Manager’s Shoulder

Hi,

This is Greg.

  • Over the years I’ve realized my approach to finding unique and niche alternative strategies & managers has resonated WELL with my fellow allocators.
  • There were instances where I would allocate to a manager and subsequently, through word of mouth within my trusted network, follow-on allocations occurred.
  • This reached a point where managers began asking me if I would be willing to help them raise additional capital.
  • I was initially RELUCANT because this was not my primary goal. My PRIMARY goal has been and always will be to find unique and interesting ways to make money for my clients.
  • However, I was intrigued by the concept of providing a boost to my Managers, and it also tied in well with my burgeoning interest in the potential of leveraging Social Media for Outreach.
  • Thus, I began showcasing ‘my’ managers and co-investments on a PODCAST called, “CIOs and Bowties” which quickly led to interviewing managers via WEBINAR in what I dubbed as “Looking Over the Manager’s shoulder.”
  • I should point out I was doing this merely as a way to ‘get the story out’ on what I considered were great opportunities for my fellow allocators.

What started as a hobby out of personal interest soon took on a life of its own. The positive response to my podcasts and webinars has been over-whelming and humbling.

Humbling because I never expected it to become this popular and successful, and over-whelming because it is now consuming more and more of my time.

A victim of my own success, I’ve so enjoyed the process that I pondered long and hard on how to make this a successful commercial undertaking?

My network as of this writing has grown to over 100,000+ followers across multiple platforms.

These are generally highly curated, quality people, many of whom I have personal relationships:

  CIOs;
  Portfolio Managers;
  Investment Analysts;
  Other Investment Professionals.

Across multiple institutions:

Family Offices;
Wealth Managers / RIAs;
Pension Plans
Sovereign Wealth Funds
Endowments & Foundations
And Others.

Combine that with other high-quality network partners* we have built a powerful distribution channel for investment managers that stretches beyond my own large and highly selected network.

So, What’s on Offer?

Please note: Since my reputation is on the line with my peers, we seek to find only the BEST investment opportunities for our clients and my network of allocators.

1

Please email me at silbermangregory@gmail.com with subject: LOMS, detailing the nature of the investment (it can be a fund, direct, co-investment heck even a fund-of-fund). Please provide as much info as possible about the opportunity and/or strategy including marketing material if possible.

2

We will review your strategy with our panel of Allocators.

3

If selected, we will have an initial phone call to clarify any questions and explain the program. As mentioned in the audio above we will ask you and your team to present your strategy Live on our Looking Over the Manager’s Shoulder webinar. We may decide to feature you on our podcast or other outlets for maximum network exposure.

4

We will follow up with attendees to gauge feedback and interest.

YOU WILL RECEIVE VERY WARM INTRODUCTIONS TO ASSET ALLOCATORS WHO LIKE WHAT THEY’VE HEARD AND ARE WILLING TO ENAGE DIRECTLY WITH YOU.

[Our experience shows a minimum of 2 up to a maximum of 10 warm introductions depending on the strategy.]

You only pay for warm introductions!

More details will be discussed on our call in STEP 3

We will keep introducing new allocators to your opportunity over the next 3 to 6 months … as often as you keep us updated on your progress.

We certainly don’t guarantee any allocations but you will receive ongoing exposure to the highly sought after allocator community.

We hope you will join us!

To Your Success,
Greg

I’ve been working with Greg in various capacities for over 4 years. I’m continually impressed with the breadth and depth of his investment knowledge. Furthermore, the reach of his network is exceptional. Time and time again Greg has demonstrated an incredible capacity to identify and partner with niche managers. Most importantly Greg eats his own cooking, always personally allocating to those managers he backs.

I have known and worked with Greg for over 5 years – I have always been impressed with his thoughtfulness and ability to dive deeply into the nuance of the opportunities and strategies that we have reviewed together. Through large and niche transactions, he has consistently shown himself to be a high value-add partner and capable investor who is clearly respected across our industry. As a new manager, I have found the caliber of his network and connections to be high quality and equally as open and thoughtful; we are grateful for the investor introductions that have been made to us.

I have known Greg for three years and we have worked together very effectively on several investment products. He has a strong network of investor relationships, particularly in the family office environment, and he introduced parties that had genuine interest in our products. Greg has a strong grasp of investors’ objectives, requirements and their sentiments, and is able to anticipate their questions and approach in a way then enabled us to have some very effective conversations. He not only introduced potential investors to us, but helped shape our strategy and offering to be more targeted to address investors’ objectives in general, and address issues specific parties had in particular. We have appreciated the way in which he maintains a constant level of engagement over a long period of time, and this illustrates his persistence with investment themes “through the cycle”. His approach is certainly not “hit and run”. Finally, we were delighted to receive investment support from him directly as evidence of his personal belief and commitment to our offering.

Greg is a true professional in every sense, and we were honored to have his firm invest in our Seed Round to help close it out. We chose him as the lead investor because we knew his deep relationships in the industry, and specially in the capital markets, would be very helpful in raising larger institutional investment rounds. The reason Greg is so powerful in helping close new capital is because he does his research first to find the best operators, and then puts his own capital into the deal. Nothing builds more confidence than that for smart money managers and professional investors.
